Day 1: Cappadocia Red Tour
According to your flight time, you will be transferred to Istanbul/Saw Airport and upon arrival in Cappadocia greeted by your guide and start the tour as visiting Goreme Open Air Museum has been a member of UNESCO World Heritage List since 1984, and was one of the first two UNESCO sites in Turkey.The site holds the region’s best collection of painted cave-churches carved by the medieval Orthodox Christian monks (1000-1200 A.D) from volcanic Stone. The best preserved church in Goreme Open Air Museum is the Karanlik (Dark) Church and others are St. Barbara,Carikli (Sandals), Tokali (Buckle), Yilanli (Snake), Elmali (Apple) and Devrent Valley, also called as “Imagination Valley” is one of the fantastic regions of Cappadocia.The small fairy chimneys in the valley form a lunar landscape, or moonscape, by their nicely look. This valley also has many animal shaped rocks. It looks like a sculpture zoo made by nature and the easiest seen animal shapes are dolphin,seals,snake and camel.Next; Pasabag,formally known as Monk Valley, is located just a few kilometres away from village of Goreme and contains some of the most striking rock formations in Cappadocia with twin and even triple rock caps. This style is unique even for Cappadocia and these chimneys are known as mushroom shaped ones. Pigeon valley is situated between Göreme and Uçhisar and is ideal for walking, as the trek is relatively easy. Pigeon Valley in Cappadocia got its name because of all the pigeon houses which have been carved into the mountain. the farmers in the area relied on the pigeons for a good quality natural fertilizer for their orchids and vineyards.After the tour,you will be transferred to your hotel.Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 2: Cappadocia Green Tour
According to your group tour pick up time,meet with your guide at lobby of the hotel and start visiting The Underground Cities in Cappadocia, interconnected by corridors, were used as hiding places by Christians in the 7th century. These subterranean cities were self sufficient cities with granaries, stables, rooms, kitchens and ventilation systems. Next, Panorama,A result of thousands of years of continual erosion makes this area look like a lunar landscape. The fairy chimneys also have a great colour variety. Esentepe is a view point that shows off a panoramic view of the landscape of Cappadocia.Uchisar is the highest point of the region and also the biggest and the most beautiful fairy chimney of the region where you may enjoy a unique panoramic views over Cappadocia.Many rooms hollowed out into the rock are connected to each other with stairs, tunnels and passages. At the entrances of the rooms, there are millstone doors, just like the ones in the underground settlements, used to control access to these places.
