Details Of The Tour:
Day 1
According to your flight time, you will have transfer to Istanbul/Saw Airport and upon arrival in Izmir Airport greeted by your guide and set off to Pergamum. As one of the seven churches addressed in the Book of Revelation, the city of Pergamum was the core of a vast kingdom in the Hellenistic era that maintained its status as a political and cultural leader into the Byzantine period. Its Acropolis, which rises 1300 feet above the lower city located on the plain of the Caicus River, is a must-see with its monuments and constructions dating back to the Hellenistic Age.After examining the superior construction techniques of the Hellenic civilization with some Roman additions such as the Trajan Temple, you’ll proceed to the Asklepion and discover one of the earliest known medical complexes dedicated to the god of health, Asklepios, son of Apollo. The treatment techniques used by the famous doctor Galenos here, including healing water, mud cure, sports, theater psychotherapy, are considered as the very foundations of modern medicine. After the tour, we’ll drive to our hotel in Pamukkale, where we’ll check-in and stay the night.
Day 2
At your pick-up time, you’ll meet with your guide and drive to Pamukkale, the center of natural thermal spring waters, which in Turkish translates to “Cotton Castle.” You’ll visit the travertines, the ancient city of Hierapolis, the sacred pool, and will get to discover what this spectacular city has to offer. The beauty of these travertines, which are known to be calcium deposit terraces, will offer you a magnificent sight. The whole area, which is under protection as a UNESCO Mixed Heritage Site, hosts some of the best-preserved examples of Roman architecture. The ancient street that passes through the necropolis, which contains more than a thousand sarcophagi, will lead you to the inner city where you’ll see the Byzantine Gate, The Domitian Gate, and the baths. And then, you’ll visit the sacred pool, which even the renowned Queen Cleopatra herself came to visit, has natural healing features, and a magical appearance. After the tour, we’ll drive to our hotel in Kusadasi, where we’ll check-in and stay the night.
Day 3
At your pick-up time, you’ll meet with your guide at the hotel and drive directly to mighty Ephesus, the very core of the Aegean in antiquity. This port-city, whose well-preserved remains are restored to their former glory, will offer you an unforgettable sight. Walking through this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was one of the most important Greco-roman settlements and the most prominent trading center in the Mediterranean in ancient times,Our route will lead you also to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world built around the perimeter of Ephesus.The Virgin Mary House, which is located on the top of the “Bulbul” mountain, 9 km ahead of Ephesus, is one of the other stops in our itinerary. After seeing the sacred shrine of the Virgin, you’ll enjoy a marvelous atmosphere hidden in the green.After the tour, you will be transported to the airport.Upon arrival in Istanbul / Saw Airport, greeted by your driver with a sign that written your name on it and transfer to your hotel.
